Kent Gustavson is a composer, musician, author, and teacher. His trio Stolen Shack's CD was featured on NPR's All Songs Considered.
His expertise is roots music, but he will earn a PhD in classical music composition from SUNY Stony Brook in New York in the spring of 2007. He is open for commissions and workshops, and has many products available for purchase.
His first solo CD is being recorded and produced by One Soul Records in New York City, and includes the expert ears and hands of Jamey Haddad, Larry Campbell, Aruna Sairam, as well as several other world-renowned musicians.
Kent Gustavson plays live sporadically anywhere he might be. He is not on an active touring schedule right now because he is finishing up a PhD, and nursing two fledgling businesses, a book publisher and a record company.
