My father, Uldis Cepure, was a Lutheran minister, who served both American and Latvian congregations. Shortly before his death, he asked me to record a collection of his classical favorites. I dedicate this to him. Unfortunately, I do not have the funding at this time to produce recording quality worthy of such great works, and this is simply a dedication to Papa.
Your musical influences
Love, above all. I believe music is the language of love. Composers like Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Debussy, Massenet, Bizet, Puccini, Verdi, Tschaicovsky, Chopin, and Ravel have been awesomely inspiring maestros of music. I really love too many composers and artists to list them all.
What equipment do you use?
My favorites are the grand pianos at Smokey Valley and Presser Hall, but my own is a respectable Kohler and Campbell studio piano, that I love, in spite of the fact that it is not a grand.
