Hello. Here are tracks from a short CD that I made for family and friends in December 2006. Since then I've added a few others. I hope you like them.
I was introduced to classical guitar at 8 yrs old when I didn't know the difference. That's a great age to start in order to get a good musical foundation. People starting to play in their teens often miss out on some great music because they only want to play things that they think are "cool." I too while back in England in my teens listened to BBC's Radio 1 and Radio 2 (pop and easy listening) stations and that was an influence. Popular music of the 70s took me away from classical for a while and I got into electric guitar and played with a few bands.
Then, life offered a different course and I quit music for a long time. But, in 2001 I got bitten by the music bug again while trying to teach guitar to my 5 yr old boy. He never did get into guitar, but it got me into teaching, playing in the church band and advancing my own playing. Haven't looked back since!
I've been fortunate to have a regular gig with a church band for many years. Covid has changed that for the moment. Let's see what happens after it's all over.
I like all the favorite classical guitar players, Bream, Williams, Segovia, Parkening, Romeros etc...
I also like blues, jazz and rock.
