Mayfly Eternal is an alternative-acoustic rock band composed of sisters Em and Mae Asmiralde on vocals, Yoni Quirolgico on lead guitar, Lem Regis on acoustic guitar, Jack Diocson on drums and Arvee Fajardo on bass guitar. Their technical proficiency with their instruments allowed them to delve into varying genres pop rock, alternative rock and pop jazz among others.
What sets Mayfly Eternal apart from other bands is that they do not hesitate to experiment on fusing various influences which creates a distinctively fresh sound. Each member brings about a particular flavor that shapes the character of the band as a whole. The collaboration of poetry and music allows them to communicate with the listeners - their music speaks of love, life and everything in between. They also express their political as well as philosophical views through some of their songs. The music they create gives a feeling of intensified emotion and absolute relief in the end.
Originally setup for acoustic performance, the band was formed August of 2005 to join an acoustic rock competition carrying the name AfterEight. With only two days of practice, they still emerged as winners. Enthralled by each others flair in music, the band decided to stick together and create more songs which they regularly performed on gigs under the name Jack In The Box. Crowd favorites Sulyap and Paraiso was successfully aired on local television. Having amassed patrons, the band decided to join the mainstream to showcase their entrancing songs under the name MAYFLY ETERNAL.
