Da Cityboi born on July 22 1984...The day a true star was born. Came from nothing and jumped into the hip hop scene looking for away out. His influences came from Jay-z, the late great Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur. He says, through listening to them and the hunger he hears in there voice and the topics these individuals talk about he could relate to. They talked about the struggle, living without a father, fake friends. So then one day Da Cityboi decided to pick up a pen and pad and begun writing....Yeah, my flows and style was wack at first but I stuck with it and kept writing...Started recording at the age of 16 with nieghborhood friends and developed a group called the hook. We had our own swagger and style we were the shit in high school walking down the halls of Waddell High. Different crews wanted to battle, we had rap beef in high school, putting out disses and everything it was crazy. My first sign of stardom was the Waddell High talent show, we were the last act, they called our group name out and the whole audience just ran straight to the stage. I mean I felt like a superstar. Then once we all graduated we kinda put the rap stuff behind us, but I didn't, I kept writing and recording with another member from the Hook FAM. That went on for a year and half just writing and recording, but then we had problems so we didn't see eye to eye anymore and just went our seperate ways. I started meeting people through other people being in the right place at the right time, started a solo career but still showed love to my niggaz in the hood. It was kind of hard at first not having that extra push behind you from ya niggaz but ya gotta do wat ya gotta do. So i did it, I developed a strong love with this rap shit and a bond and its never gonna leave me I love it and I feel like im the hottest unheard. In the words of my nigga Lil Scoobie: "ITS LIKE UR FLOWS WASNT ALL THAT HOT BACK THEN, BUT THEN ONE DAY U CAME OUTTA NOWHERE SPITTIN ALL THIS FIRE WHERE DID IT COME FROM".......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... My first and only show was at my high school talent show....I felt like a big time celebrity...lke all the students ran to the stage saying hook fam(that was tha name of our group back then) but yea....thats about it...I did a lil show at lady ds in charlotte Nc...it was alright..i did my thang though...b4 I left I had people sayin ayyep....
