BLUE COYOTE is three musicians playing kick-ass, heavy-duty rock 'n' roll. In late 2004, Greg Platkin, Jeremy Hall and Rick Stearns got together and jammed in a basement bar, and by the time the last chord rang out, they'd made it their mission to breathe new life into rock music. Taking inspiration from Jimi Hendrix, Cream, ZZ Top and Rush â“ like any good power trio should â“ they rolled up their sleeves, cranked their amps and started hammering out their own high-energy riffs and heavy grooves.
BLUE COYOTE has been tearing up stages all over New York's Hudson River Valley with a sound that harkens back to the classic days of rock but has a modern edge. Their songs are about what they know: hitting the highway on a Harley, love gone wrong, destroying household appliances, and blowing the doors off a packed club full of screaming fans. A true crowd favorite, BLUE COYOTE has opened for the likes of Pat Travers and The Outlaws at the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, as well as headlined the First Annual Kingston Mardi Gras Celebration.
BLUE COYOTE'S OVER THE LINE EP captures their raw presence and stellar songwriting on such tracks as âœSouthboundâ쳌, âœHighway Manâ쳌 and âœWorld Comin' Downâ쳌. Take a listen and hear how a rock band should sound.
