"OMADEON" was founded in 2006 by WinterSwimmer (George Stathis, me). It then expanded to a group. After 2007 it became again a 1 man band. My main work was official cooperation with the great Greek music composer Mikis Theodorakis (who died Sept 2, 2021), remixing his best compositions, turning them into Trance Music for global Club dancing.
Band/artist history
I don't want to bore you with my personal history.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We don't play live, partly because of the nature of our work, done with PCs and a few hardware synths.
Your musical influences
DJ Tiesto), Robert Miles (as the founder of an innovative stream), Jean Michel Jarre (the GodFather of Electronica), Faithless, Armin van Buuren, and many others.
What equipment do you use?
Many PCs, equipped with relatively decent sound production cards, as well as some hardware synths:
The Yamaha Motif 6 is my own preferred personal instrument, together with a (toy-)Casio CTK-602L, and some other (mostly... worthless -hehe) keyboards, from the late eighties. As a group, we are working more and more with software synths and the (usual) modern VST technology, but the Yamaha Motif is an instrument that still stands out, as something completely irreplaceable by software! We also have access to outstanding musical equipment (e.g. Pro Tools) used by DJ Paranoia's brother in a commercial Music Studio, where he works as a Master Remixer.
Anything else?
Well, we do have a vision (at least one): To transform much Classical Music into trance, while preserving its quality. For this reason, I decided to upload in this site some trance remixes of Johan Sebastian Bach, which I did recently as a joke (more or less) but they turned out much more serious than I expected! :)
Last (but not least) I have to admit that some of the music here is still incomplete, and it can still be improved! However, I decided to include it solely on the basis of ideas and innovations contained in it. An example of such a piece which -nevertheless- contains interesting innovations, is "Atlantean EcoTrance Insomnia".
Hm... we're so flooded by (other) work, nowadays, that our band's motto may well become: (WinterSwimmer): 'Too much music, too little time'!
There are some articles about Trance Remixes of Mikis Theodorakis in OMADEON's bilingual blog:
