What can I say other than we are 5 guys trying to do what so many others are. Play music and enjoy life. If success wants to take us home and get naked, we're all cool with that.
In 2003 drummer Jeff Clayton and guitarist Eric Carrillo hooked up with bassist Ben Sherman and Vocalist Jared Lawson. While establishing themselves in the local scene of Bakersfield, CA, the foursome won the interest of Electric Cowboy Records and were offered a recording deal. In April 2005, they signed to Electric Cowboy Records and began writing and recording their debut CD entitled Born, which was released in May of 2006. Shortly before release Addiction Theory added William Hudson, formerly of ERace and My October, to the line-up. This 5-piece has a heavy but melodic sound with diverse influence. Each song showing the musicianship and determination to win you over. Addiction Theory is on a mission to show that they don’t have to follow the trends to make good music.
We play live often in CA and are looking to get out of our home town as much as possible
