The Original LStar

The Original LStar was first presented to the listening public by none other than world famous Internet legend and MIDI guitar genius, Jarl Sigurd, who at the time of his discovery of LStar, was already well known amongst the MIDI crowd as a prodigious musician and a brilliant composer who had the knack for creating music that was so far ahead of it's time that it may well be a good many centuries to come before it can be widely accepted with critical acclaim and appreciated by the general public. Fortunately, LStar was only a decade or so ahead of his time and that was 10 years ago, which brings us to this moment when the world has evolved sufficiently enough to appreciate the over the top wild ride that is LStar's signature style of tearing it up on his guitar.

I pretty mch explained everything already about the origins of LStar, so I'll get to the point here.

Nobody knows much about LStar or who he was, it was undeniable that he wasn't merely an act put on by Jarl Sigurd, as there couldn't be any doubt that not but one time out of millions does the type of talent emerge from the gene pool of the human species like that which LStar possessed, so that dismisses that theory with absolute certainty, which leaves question of his actual identity a mystery that will likely never be solved.

It was only appropriate that just as in the manner in which LStar burst over the scene that LStar would vanish as if into thin air, leaving only the legend and the myth behind to live on in the minds of those who were once so profoundly impacted by his incredible guitar playing.

As the years passed many stories were invented that attempted to fill in the missing gaps in the story of LStar such as, where he came from, who he was, and where did he go to. The best guesses so far was that he came here from somewhere else, and he was the last of his kind of a great race of people, possibly aliens who adapted the appearence of humans, who can say, really, and he returned to that far off and mysterious place he called home after his work was accomplished here.

LStar exists today only in the memories and the folk legends of the Cyberspace Forums and Newsgroups and by the existence of a still active link to a long gone website that can be found on an obscure webpage and located by a Google search.

LStar was heavily promoted by the legendary Usenet troll and prodigal genius MIDI guitar composer, Jarl Sigurd as a means of demoralizing his numerous detractors by way of intimidation via the sheer magnitude of the technical prowess and virtuosity LStar displayed in his wholly improvised guitar solos. This lead to an extreme backlash against Jarl, as the immense suffering wrought by LStar's extreme technical superiority as a guitar player, as well as the genius of his music, upon the deluded masses who were the majority of those who formed the masses of cybercitizens who were Jarl's most outspken detractors and critics had been gievn such a psychological beating that they became extremely enraged and used every resource available and chance they could find to make Jarl suffer for what he had done to them.

LStar was obviously influenced by the masters of all the generes and styles of music, and so much so that no individual influence remains to be determined by listening to his music and guitar playing.

Various USA built guitars and an original POD
