I am a singer songwriter. I perform my own songs, some covers and some traditional (usually English folk) and covers as appropriate. I usually perform solo at the moment though I have some ideas to team up with some other musicians in the near future. I was a member of a band called The Units and we did quite a few gigs around the Bury area, North of the UK, before we split a few years ago.
I'd like to collaborate more on writing.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play at Gregson Lane Folk club regularly and, on the Thursday evenings the folk club is not on I run an open mic night every other Thursday at 'The Black Horse' pub on Gregson Lane.
Your musical influences
I don't know really, everything I've been into I suppose. My ear was trained in the 70s by pop, R&B and later tradiional folk and I think this is audible in my the structure of my songs. It helps me write good hooks but hinders the direction my songs go in - I think.What equipment do you use?
