We are a Psychedelic band based in Clifton, New Jersey. We were established in August, 2006, and are in the process of creating a name for ourselves. Our music is made up of psychedelic sounds mixed together in a melodical form with electric guitar and vocals. Powerful basslines and percussion will leave you waiting for more.
Band/artist history
We have a long history because everybody comes from different backgrounds. Allen learned how to play keyboard when he was young. He learned how to read scores and that kind of stuff but after eight years of not practicing he forgot it all and had to start over. His first program was Rave Ejay, in 2001 when he was learning the basics of putting samples together. His first professional program was Fruityloops 3.4 in 2002, then he moved on to Reason 2.5 in the summer of 2004. Finally, he switched over to Cubase SX in the summer of 2005, and he remains loyal to the program to this day. "Who needs girls when you have Cubase?" He began to create Psychedelic Trance in 2005. Before that he created Hip Hop, Electronica, Club, and Techno. It's almost been two years since I've picked up a guitar. Mikey Deegan from the band Sperling taught me how to play Dammit on guitar two years ago in his garage. I learned it in 15 minutes. He taught me how to read tablature and I just ran with it. Addy Omohundro from Sperling taught me bass guitar, and I learned drums from both of them. We still jam together and soon we are working on a partner project with them, but that's another story for another time. Can't wait, though. I played piano when I was young, like every other kid in the world. I didn't like the fact that my parents tried to shove an instrument down my throat so I didn't do it. Now I'm starting to learn keyboard again but at my own pace when I feel like it. Guitar is my instrument.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I (Gnomey), the guitarist, played live as a drummer with Sperling, a punk band based in New Jersey. I also played live drums at school concerts. I never played guitar on stage but I do play in front of people all the time. Allen is learning to mix live to prepare for upcoming shows. Daria has never been on stage, but I know for a fact that she'll love it. We're looking forward to playing shows and we hope you look forward to coming.
Your musical influences
We are infuenced by everything we hear, everything we see, and everything we live through. We listen to a million bands, and I'm sure most of you have never even heard of half of them at least. Life is our biggest inspiration.
