Toying with Cubase and various VST synths, I ended up with a desire of actually creating something. The aim is to merge electronica and a slight touch of dance/trance with indie and post-rock.
Ceibatree is also a way for me to walk around the reluctance I usually feel when it comes to presenting any of my works to an audience, as I'm dealing with genres I'm not very deep into, and I'm careful not to mash too much personal feelings and ambitions into the music.
Mew, Aphex Twin, Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, Opeth, No-Man, Nick Drake, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Carl Craig, Devin Townsend, Ooberman, Meshuggah, Dusty Springfield, Alice In Chains, and so on
Cubase, with various VST plugs. Most frequently used are Atmosphere, Korg LegacyCell and Vanguard.
I do have a shitty electric guitar, but most of the guitar work is actually my Peavey Cirrus getting distorted... also have a relatively cheap Yamaha steel-string acoustic that actually sound quite okay.
Microphone is an AKG C2000B, sound card is an M-Audio Firewire 410, and the comp is an Acer Travelmate with a bunch of digits.
I'd like a cup of tea!!
