Experimental, yet melodic. Processed vocals, bass guitar, environmental sounds.
Everglades is one man project, inspired by one God. It creates music which aims to be as different and unusual as possible, yet melodic. Much to it's dismay, modern musicians tend to think that placing some random noise around a song or recording environment for hours makes someone an artist. Everglades wants to explore new sounds by means of telephone, scissors, pencils etc. yet avoiding noise manner, using them wisely and waving them carefully into the melody.
First EP was recorded in 2003 using merely bass guitar and digital processor, almost no vocal was included. Second album, way more mature, was conceived and recorded 3 years later, using bass guitar, analog mixer and microphone that allowed to introduce more sophisticated sounds, taken from surroundings (jaw-harp or typing machine for instance). Vocals also appear on the album, processed by variety of equalizers, pans and reverbs. However, bass guitar remains the core of the sound.
Deep inner evolution occured between both albums. Using complicated system of events, God revealed His existence to Everglades. This took place not by illumination nor deep analysis - it was just finesse of life that unveiled a master plan behind. This no longer could be coincidence.
Everglades is a project of Bartek Wegrzyn
