Right now, this is just myself doing a little project at home with my voice (no matter how crappy it really is) my guitar, my nice little SONY mic, and a crappy soundboard that seems to work well for me.
I'm Brad, I am Closed On Tuesdays. I was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada May 8, 1984. I moved to Edmonton when i was 2. Started playing piano at 5, gave up at 7. Moved to Calgary/Carseland at 9, played French Horn from grades 6-8, and Trumpet/Snare Drum grades 8-12. I finally picked up a guitar just before graduation in June 2002. I've been playing on and off for about 4 years now. My entire family is very musical, my mother played piano and french horn. My grand-father could play pretty much any instrument you give him in about 30mins. The unfortunate thing is, he couldn't read even one music note. My grand-mother on the other hand taught piano and guitar for years. I was self taught so she never taught me, but she did help my tune my guitar the first few times.
I've written a few songs, which will be posted on here whenever I get a chance, and I'm constantly writing more and more. The hardest thing for me is getting the guitar down with the singing. That's about my life in music.
I've only played live a few times at a little bar around the corner in Calgary called A Bar Named Sue (named after the Johnny Cash song "A Boy Named Sue")
My equipment is pretty basic right now, I have a Gibson Epiphone electric I like to pick up, with a small 10" Rocktek amp, and a Line 6 Dr. Distorto pedal. I have an Aria 12-string Acoustic I play occasionally and my baby is my Ovation Semi-acoustic
