Band/artist history
Project-G ...started as a project for Robby-G to write and record an album of his own materials, with help from Scott Kilgore on vocals things were progressing along nicely, the thank to internet airplay on Soundclick, Myspace, and numerous internet radio stations, the music began to get noticed by a lot of people, including the people at RYP Records. RYP Records wanted to be the company to bring our sound to the world, this quest would entail forming a band and not just a duo, we called to some of our friends and held some auditions and became a full band. Though the RYP Records part of the story did not have a happy ending, because the company ran into $$$ problems, we were in love with our new band of brothers....
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We have been playing live for many years in many other bands, all over the east coast. There is nothing like playing live, the rush is undescribable. SPECIAL MOMENTS:I was in a local band, and we were opening for a band signed to a major label, the venue we were playing at was kinda our home turf, we packed the place on a pretty regular basis, well this one night we were to go on just before the National, now all of our fans new we were pulling out all the stops for this one(flash pods,explosions,smoke,etc...)and the room was packed.Just before we were set to hit the stage we are in the dressing room, and our stage mgr. comes busting in the room and says you guys need to see this, as we poked our head out of the dressing room, we heard about 1500 people chanting our bands name,(insert goosebumps here)right next to our dressing room door was the singer and bass player from the national act, and they said "Thats pretty impressive!" Well does not sound like much, but for a local band trying to get where they were, it meant the world. I dont know who in the audience started that chant that night, but if you are reading this I am your biggest fan!Robby...
