Neech fills in the gap between PJ Harvey and Jill Scott, letting inspiration blow from all directions. Fronted by East London chanteuse and songwriter, Zeb, a collective of like-minded musicians create live transformations of the studio productions. To compliment the electronics provided by Rob Henry (Euphonic), a band including live drums, guitar, bass and string section set the backdrop for Neech's compelling performance.
Neech's style is an abstract blend of old-school soul, blues and electronica, with a bit of dark funk thrown in for good measure. The ensuing sound invites you into darker territories and tells of intimate secrets with a warmth and originality that's impossible to ignore. Recent gigs have seen Neech supporting rock and funk bands, as well as headlining predominantly guitar based nights and giving the crowd a soulful twist.
KarmaDownload.com made Neech their Unsigned Artist of the Week in January 2006. Neech were also featured on Talksport FMs Mike Mendoza show.
