Forget Why We Pray
Peak in sub-genre #41
Guitarist, Scott Flagler, vocalist, Abe Addy, and Drummer Dan Schleicher all played together in the local Albany band Crookshank with some success. Then later formed with bassist Matt Molis AkOtO. AkOtO a fairly new band has a very new sound which is hard to pinpoint or relate to any other bands. Flagler, one of the most talented guitarist in the Upstate area contributes to the driving force behind the music by providing the delicate intricacies that would otherwise be overlooked. Schleicher's drumming style quite simply has been compared to Grammy nominated drummer Jason Bittner, of the band Shadows Fall. Matt Molis teamed up with Dan in the band "The Q" that was a live instrument techno band. Matt brings that same type of electronic feel to AkOtO. Lyricist and vocalist Abe Addy's skills range from agrressively animalistic to the to the deep smoothness of a cognac on the rocks. Together these four musicians create the living entity that is called AkOtO.
