Sevillian the Prophet is the evolution rap music. His style is gothic street music. The rich rhythmic sound has been missing from the rap scene and that makes him a hot commodity. He is bringing a message and hot lyrics over deep bass grooves. Sevillian the Prophet is tomorrow in your face today. Listen.............
Band/artist history
I was born as harold randolph jr. In the city of gary, indiana 1975. I was raised by my mother and stepfather because my pops went to prison. I needed a way to channel my anger so i started writing poetry and taking it out on niggas in freestyle battles. By the 5th grade i was self proclaimed the best emcee in the city. Styles became my forte and i was determined to master the art of writing and delivery. Me and my cousin jay (jack daniels) started a rap group and we called it the cadillac crew. We later hooked up with another emcee from the east side name rod (felony). The gangsta rebels was born out of that connect. We made a few songs and spent a lot of time spittin freestyles in battles and talent shows. I moved to michigan in the summer of 93 and hooked up with roy (og roe) and jahmal (redd diggy). We had a house that we called the penthouse and there came the name phog (penthouse original gangstaz). Phog clique. We wrote a lot of music and the group became a union. We sold music out the trunk and had no real direction. Just fucking off money and living wild. We unofficially release a full cd called the interview and got an underground vibe with hot reviews. I started writing a solo cd called the legend and before it was finished i got called to active duty in baghdad, iraq. There through the fire: flight of the phoenix was born. I went on a spiritual journey and found my calling in this music. I found myself amidst the cradle of civilization and hailstorm of mortars and bullets. I found the true meaning of being black in america. Follow me my soldiers and i will take you on a journey with this one. Follow me through the fire!
Your musical influences
Philosophy is music. Art is music. My influences are Muhummad Ali, Bruce Lee, and John the Baptist.
Anything else?
I spit what is real. I dont fake sh*t! I give it to you how I live it and feel it. I bleed these bass lines and these snares. I think in beats per minute.
