New song I wrote and recorded in about 3 days. ME on vocals, not great. All recorded in Garage Band so I couldn't really fine tune my voice and add all the nice efects and stuff.

My name is Erik Hanson, and this is some of my music. I'm more into simple acoustic guitar style, but sometimes I also play heavy rock.
Some of my influences are bands like 2 Doors Down, Jack Johnson, Forty Foot Echo...and as for my rock style, bands like Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, etc...

I've got my first guitar like 8 years ago, but I've only been playing seriously for about 3 years, and I started lessons about a year ago.
In that time, my playing style has really mellowed out, and I enjoy playing mostly simple acoustic stuff now.Have you performed in front of an audience?I don't play live, I just record by myself or with friensd in my bedroom!

John Petrucci, joe Satriani, Jack Johnson, Greg Howe, Steve Morse, etc.What equipment do you use?
I use a cheap acoustic, I'll soon buy myself a nice little electric acoustic, a Samick OM-6CE.
As for any electric guitar, I use an OLP Petrucci model, soon to have a Schecter C-1 Classic instead, and a Roland Cube 30 amp, going direct.
I record using a Mackie mixer into a Tascam US-122 usb to my computer, using home studio to record, and Fruity Loops for my drums and bass, etc...Anything else?
