Richard Banbury, on meeting and befriending Matt Evans (talented producer/session musician), the pair set about recording this long over due project and peaked the interest of Emma Ross and James McHardy at Petrified Records. They in turn took the project on, with Emma designing the Art work for the album, producing the 1st promo video (Why are we why?) and creating the Enhanced CD section on the album. The 2nd video (Fractured Persona) was shot at the Doves Centre, Penarth, S. Wales (MIND in the Vale) and stars many staff, volunteers, and service users of the charity organisation. It was then edited and produced by Post-Graduate, Angela Thomas.
we play live in South Wales, uk, at the moment but are hoping to start a mini tour of UK end of 2006.
The influences for Fractured Persona's music are, Pink Floyd, John Lennon, Nirvana, Alanis Morrisette, Oasis, Green Day and many more....
We have been told some of our songs sound similar to Pink Floyd, John Lennon, Nirvana, Alanis Morrisette, Oasis, Green Day, Beatles,
In my music I have tried to incorporate many styles and influences that appeal to me as a listener and hope that in doing so I have created a CD which will be enjoyed by a diverse audience open to new music. The songs themselves are catchy melodies with full instrumental backing. The subject matter is a mixture of themes that relate to personal experience, from love, depression and schizophrenia. The proceeds from this CD will go towards helping Ashgrove School, the only school in the whole of Wales to cater for children with autism. Outside of raising money for Ashgrove, I hope the release of this CD will help raise awareness of mental illness and its effects on sufferers and family alike.
