Grab your cowboy boots and hats, turn up the Jazzabillies Cd - and you'll be surrounded by great music and happiness! It's truly "Kickin' Western Swing"!!! Western swing has enchanted listeners since its roots and the Jazzabillies continue the tradition featuring hot steel guitar licks, classic twin fiddles, jazz derived lead guitar, honkytonk keyboard, wailin' sax, and a complete big band horn sound including trumpets and trombone. The rhythm section includes a drivin' upright bass with a traditional western swing rhythm guitar and the drum styles of the swing era. It exudes energy, accented beats, excitement and fun! The group blends their love of western swing, honkytonkin' country, blues, dixieland, and jazz to create their own unique style. Its this eclectic mix of instruments and music styles that the make the Jazzabillies unique and exciting!

Reviews: I got wonderful listener reaction to "Detour" on "Swingin' West." I have "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" on my show. Scotty both plays some wicked steel licks and really belts out this old Louie Jordan and Asleep at the Wheel memory. Mike Gross, Swingin' West - www.swinginwest.com WVOF-FM, Fairfield, CT _________________________________________________ Good to hear from you. You've got a GREAT new Western swing CD! Congrats! O.J. Sikes - www.BostonPete.com/ojsikes. USA _________________________________________________ "I heard you're demo and it really swings... thanks again" Leon Rausch, Texas Playboys "We played the CD all the way home and it was great. My kind of stuff!" John Hughey - Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member www.johnhughey.com Gator writes "I have a treat for my listening audience. The Jazzabillies is a group that you will soon hear a lot about. Their music is mostly Western Swing music, but they play some kicking Country music as you will see when you go out and buy their newest CD "Show Me". Most groups have great music, but few have 4 Lead Singers. Many groups have Lead Guitar players, Jazzabillies have 2. Many groups have a person in the band that can play several instruments. One of the leaders of the group Jimmy Queen is a Lead Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, Sax, Piano and Harmonica player, plus sings lead on two tracks. Now dabbling in music since a child I can tell you the variety of instruments alone that Jimmy features is way beyond most musicians. In this CD you will find some great and varied music styles. The first 5 tracks of the CD will give you an example of the greatness of the band. During those 5 tracks feature is the entire band. Track 1 "Turn Me Loose and Let me Swing", features Starla Queen doing a Western Swing song. Track 2 "All in the Game", features Dave Owens with his deep mellow voice doing a slow country type song. Track 3 "Butter and Egg Man" features Scott Henderson doing a swing song with a great voice. Scott is also the steel guitar player for the group. Track 4 "The Way You Look Tonight" features Jimmy Queen doing a country style song with yet another great voice. Track 5 "Swingwalk" is an Instrumental by the entire group. Starting at Track 6 through 12 you will be treated to more of the above. Each member doing solo's and give the listener an appreciation for this great Western Swing band. If you want to see how good Lonnie Patterson really is at playing lead guitar, listen to Track 10 "Show Me" the title track song by Starla and with a portion of the track where Starla introduces Lonnie. I thought it was a steel guitar that he was playing, he is awesome in this performance. I highly recommend you go to the web links page, go to their site and buy 2 of the CD's, one for you and one for your best friend." I have review the CD and put the entire CD on my playlist - Excellent job!" Robert Partigianoni, Radio Louisiana - www.gatorsbackyard.com I LOVE IT!!! Jimmy and the gang are the new kings of Western swing! Count on some airplay on KWRE. Mike Thomas , Warrenton, Mo www.kwre.com My name is Michael Ray and I have an internet radio station on Live365 called Country Shufflemania. As the name suggests, the primary music played is the Country shuffle, but a significant amount of traditional 2-4s & Western Swing are also played. I really enjoyed listening to the samples of the cuts on your new album. I love the fact a person can actually clearly hear every musical instrument individually while enjoying the way they sound together. It's nice to hear such music - devoid of reverb-laden, loud drums and over-compressed mush. I especially enjoy the picking of your standup bass player. I can guarantee I'll play your music on Shufflemania. Thanks! Michael Ray, Shufflemania - TX I really like what I've heard! Henry Prokop, 101FM Honky Tonk Blues, Australia We've added their music to our regular playlist. They are a really good western swing band. I love y'alls western swing version of "Sleepwalk", great job! I've always loved the song "Turn Me Lose And Let Me Swing". I had only heard it by great Buddy Emmons and Ray Pennington, but you do a good cover. Tune in to hear them guys, they are hot stuff!! Rascalita - Ram Radio www.ramradio.net "They have a unique style, this one is definitely Western Swing. For me its damn good!" Raymond - Country Harvest programs, Whittlesea Victoria AUSTRALIA Aint Nobody Here But Us chickens what a fun song! I really like it and the Jazzabillies musicianship also and will definitely be including it in my play list . Id be happy to provide airplay to other songs! Valerie Baxter RADIO 2XX - 98.3FM Australia I got my copy yesterday and its a Honkin Sum-Bitch. From all I heardWOW!!! Somebody on your teams knows arrangements.
