Hello Farrell Jackson here, just some music for long distant fellow musicians and music lovers. A place to post some of my musical thoughts. All songs/instruments written or performed by me except where noted.Band/artist history
Been learning and playing the guitar since I was a youngster. My training came from the countless hours I spent listening to those big 33 1/3 vinyl albums. Played in a some bands along the way.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, I play solo and sit in with some fellow musicians once in a while. I played in a gigging band for many years but not anymore.
Your musical influences
Like many, many musicians, I would have to say The Beatles, The Animals, The Stones, Cream, The Allman Bros., Steppenwolf, and CSNY are probably my biggest influences. I love great sounding acoustic guitars mixed with tasteful electrics. Some melodic vocals and harmonies thrown in is a plus.What equipment do you use?
A couple of acoustics, some electrics, a couple of basses, some harmonicas, several amps, and my voice. I record to a Fostex VF160 DAW with several outboard pieces attached.Anything else?
My music is acoustic guitar based but there are a lot of electric guitars in and about. Most all my songs begin life on the acoustic and grow from there. Music has been a very enjoyable part of my life and has allowed some very satisfying and personal expressions to come forward.
With the creation of affordable digital recording, even an aging musician like myself has a chance to compete a little.

Beautifully produced Farrell. That organ is awesome. Great vocal work here. Put some high octane in that tank - you've got many more miles to go in that truck. Nice guitar work - the acoustic sounds great!
