Fabulous 'Help' period Beatles sound and production. Love the guitar figure throughout and a perfect short solo. The drums are beautifully sparse. Is that Ringo you've hired fot the session ? . . .lol

Song: She is Leaving Again
I'd forgotten how much I liked The Byrds. This could almost be them (or is it in fact an out take from one of their early recording sessions ? lol). Very nice 'false ending'; a very clever and typical 60's thing . . .You've captured the sound and vibe of the early Byrds so well. Your voice/lyrics are just perfect. . . Bravo.

Song: Taking Time
'Trying to replicate the 60's . . . and succeeding hansomely. Are you sure you aren't the 5th Beatle or the 5th member of The Byrds ? This is just great. Fantastic arrangement, like the guitar solo of chords. Very nice 'Bigsby' wobbles at the end and a very 'familiar' but original guitar riff. Like it.

Song: I Will Leave Her
This is a lovely little tune. Love the guitar tone (nice short solo that George Harrison would be proud of), instrumentation and you vocals are just spot on. I'll be humming this all day, even though I've only heart it once . . .so far. Nice major 7th. chord to finish with too. A very nice 'Beatles' touch. 6 stars !

Song: No More Love
This is note perfect for the era you've chosen to 'sing' praises to. The instrumentation is clean and bright as a new pin. Like it. A LOT.

Song: A Tribute to The Cars
Hey this is a pleasant song. So don't worry. I see what you mean about not sounding like The Cars. Sometimes songs do come out differently to how they're first planned. Maybe it needs to have a bit more of a Fender Telecaster ? chuggy/slightly overdriven guitar sound to get closer to The Cars sound. And perhaps a quicker tempo ? but this is a nice song as it is. And I hope you take my comments as they are intended, and not in any way as a critisism.

Song: Is True
Fab stuff. You've nailed that Beatles rockabilly sound. George (bless him) would love this. This reminds me of Neil Innes singing on The Rutles albums. Have you heard them ? If not, then I know you'd like them.

Lovely guitar hook, that does have a recognisable Monkees sound to it. They were a band that everyone liked to put down as contrived, but hey ! they did do some great songs.(so did The Turtles!) This is very short sweet, but very catchy. Like it. You are a master of this type of pop.

Song: She is Not The Same
Perfect 60's sound. And yes, I can hear The Byrds/Beatles in this. Ricky 12 string guitar sounds tremendous. Nice and jangly. By the way, don't knock yourself about the lyrics.

Song: Riding in the Backseat
Perfect 60's pop in the unmistable style of the mid period Beatles. There's a nice nod to the early Kinks in there too. Very clever and well put together song. This is right up my street. It's the 'Gear' wack ! A station add for sure.
By the way, I can't get onto your main page ! So will you take this as a 'friend request' too.

Seems to be a problem: I can only get "error loading song". Like to hear more of them. I love "No More Love."
