Fred Bink Young is rewriting the rap game in Northern California. A self made businessman and street game veteran, Bink actually originates from Vallejo, California. The Northern Bay Area has given the rap game many of its major artists. Bink grew up actually trading sixteens with the likes of Cellie Cel, E-40, Mac Dre, B-Legit and TapDatAzz, Bink admits that growing up in Vallejo was rough. I grew up in that 1985 to 1987 era when the dope game came along. It was survival of the fittest Bink proved himself quick and did fairly well. I didnt make it all the way to the top..but I became the middle man. Unfortunately, Bink was arrested in 1990. I caught a possession case, and that was it for me. After that, I kept it going but I was a little bit smarter. then I became a legitimate businessman, and I started my barbershop. In 1992, after the passing of Binks father, Fred Young Sr, Binks mother moved to Sacramento, California. I came out here and I really planted my foot out here in sac in 1995. Now, I got the barber shop, and the beauty salon tacked on, I got Fly records, and we also run Seeds & Sprouts daycare at 4006 Broadway in Sacramento, Ca. Binks recording career jumped off shortly thereafter. 1995 was about the time that I recorded that first album, Something to Ride to . Binks first album included features by B-Legit, Suga-T, Levitti, 808, Binks cousin Duce Dub (currently on a state sponsored vacation) and Sacramento recording artist and close friend, Keak da Sneak. Bink is also executive producing other projects. My little brother 808 is coming with the album Flawless Mouthpiece. Bink predicts that STREET GAME, MONEY AND FAME will be the project that will take him to the top. basically, it represents the game from the street, moneywhich we all trying to have, and the fame that comes with the money. Thats where I learned all of my gamefrom the street. A lot of my game is a result of learning from my dad, Big Freddie, whos no longer with us. The dope game taught me a lot too, I just applied my street business sense to my legit businesses. Im the first one on the turf and the last one to leave. Binks philosophy summed up in one word is Perseverance. I aint happy with my pockets. If I had 10 billion, Id still feel the same way. Hustlin isnt something that you do, its something that you are. You gotta be born with it. And on this album, everyone who hears it will get something out of it to apply to the game and elevate your pockets. Youre gonna get a message. STREET GAME, MONEY AND FAME features E-40, Messy Marv, Keak da Sneak, legendary pimp and bluesman Fillmore Slim, C-Bo, Duce Dub, T-Nutty, Marvaless and 808.
