Miki Stuart is a solo artist who records instrumental chill out rock. He also composes music and writes songs.
Miki plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, drums ,keyboards and native american flute.
Miki Stuart first picked up the guitar in 1965 aged 15. The first song he learnt to play was "house of the rising sun" by the Animals. Learning to play by ear was the only option as he could not read music, armed with a book of chord charts he practised untill he had learnt enough chords to play the songs that were popular in the sixties.
After leaving college Miki went to London and after a few auditions with other bands, decided to start writing and recording his own original material. Over the forty years he has been playing, Miki has created his own style of playing while recording constantly. In 1980 he got a job in a recording studio in London, learning how to engineer and produce records.
In 1998 after buying the latest equipment he needed, he started a studio of his own called Tigerfish Records where he produced his debut solo album "Journey Within". A CD of instrumental tracks.
Using Korg and Roland keyboards,Sonor drum kit, Fender bass guitar, Fender acoustic/electric guitar and Gibson SG electic guitar he built up each of the fourteen tracks on the CD. He also had his son playing guitar on two tracks, and a friend Tony Dixon playing flute on three tracks.
