Ke'li-ben is a one-man recording band, working from a home studio in rural France
Although the quoted genre is Instrumental (classical), the songs and instrumentals are elclectic in style
I played in several groups as a teenager. Drums, acoustic guitar and occasionally as a singer. When the bubble burst or 3 guitars and a drummer cover bands, the desire to be part of a group evaporated, and my quest to write my own tunes and lyrics began to take hold
Not played live since teen years!
I love anything unusual. Influences include Kate Bush, Mike Oldfield, Yes,Jon Anderson's "Olias of Sunhillow", (which gave me the name for my home in England and the name of my music website), Enigma. My tastes are catholic and I can enjoy some classical stuff as well as contemporary sounds.
Korg Karma Keyboard. Roland BR8 Recorder. Peavy Mic. Own voice, and, very occasionally, partner's voice
I am always looking for ways to make new and strange sounds. I use anything that is lying around. One of my early tracks, "Angels Dancing", has a sound effect of beating angel's wings made by waving different papers and plastic bags around. It works!
