After many years hiatus with raising a family and life in general, I am just now starting to get in touch with my musical side again. Some of the older tracks are from 2001 when I was playing around with a multitrack recorder. But most are from Karl's Community Virtual Open Mic, which was started in 2020 in response to the Covid Pandemic and the fact that none of us could play in public while in lockdown. I had an awesome time creating a lot of music for that group, and it still continues today!
Started playing guitar and electric organ (no electronic "keyboards" back then!) when I was very small. My dad was a Bluegrass musician in the Baltimore area and I learned guitar from him. Please check out my dad's page for more great music!

I've started doing the occasional Open Mic. In the 90's I played and sang lead with a few amateur country rock bands when we lived in Northern Maine and it was a lot of fun.
Norman Blake, Doc Watson, The Carter Family, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, New Grass Revival, Tony Rice, Dan Crary, Bill Keith, Seldom Scene, Country Gentlemen, Lewis Family, Country Gazette, and some Floyd Cramer thrown in there.
An old acoustic guitar (Airline brand from Montgomery Ward) an inexpensive Casio keyboard, a newer 12-string and electric/acoustic 6-string. A Tascam 4-track recorder on the older tracks, and the iPhone app "Acapella" for the newer tracks. I also have my dad's trusty Martin D-28 and a couple autoharps, a ukulele, a mountain dulcimer, wooden spoons, and an electronic drumset. Just a lot of toys to play with!!
