We have been making music together for the past 5 years although Unwanted Silence, in terms of style and lyrics, has been around for about 2 years.
We would describe our style of music as indie, but there are hints of rock and punk in places too.
When we first started out we went by the name of Impakt which was quickly changed in a matter of weeks, to Busted.
This name stuck with U.S for a while until we noticed that another band also had this title and so ofcourse a change had to be made.
It was agreed that Bust Up ED would be our new title after long thought and little progress.
Quite Recently however, we made a final change. A turning point had been reached where we wanted something fresh with new songs deriving from a new style. We scrapped all the previous songs and it was on to square one for Unwanted Silence.
Yes. We love to play live and find it very rewarding for the hard work put into practising and writing the music.
We have played at various venues around Scotland at present but not nearly as many as we would like.
Yeah, there are certain performances that stick in mind, but all are great just to perform the songs to an audience.
Influences for us include Counting crows, Goo Goo Dolls, Bify Clyro
We are a 4-piece band - Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass, Drums with Vocals and Backing Vocals.
