Mr. Drè is a one of a kind, multitalented individual who plans to make his way into the entertainment industry, by no means necessary. To work hard to fulfill his dream and to become a positive role model. Growing up in a small community outside Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Drè was always able to entertain his family and friends. He started hosting talent showcases and throwing block parties at local community center in his neighborhood. Mr. Drè said, "Living in a city that doesnt have any knowledge about the music industry, I always found myself lost." So he packed up his possessions and moved to New York City, where he enrolled into the Institute of Audio Research and other music related classes. "Moving to NYC was the best experience of my life," said Mr. Drè, "I met people who were in the industry and they taught me a lot about this business." Music Production: Learning how to produce, engineer, and write songs in NYC. In 1995, Mr. Drè started Switch Entertainment, Inc. and went back to his hometown to help other artist develop their skills. Being a Producer, Engineer, Composer, and Songwriter are some things that Mr. Drè enjoys doing. He said, "I love to help artist write and develop a successful sound in recording. It gave me an opportunity to guide and advance their career in the music industry." In 2000, Mr. Drè released a compilation LP album featuring various artists, without any support from major or independent record labels, Mr. Drè though hard work, was very successful with his debut LP album "Mr. Drè Presents Switch-e Family Compilation Album Volume 1." This talented producer has produced and written over 100 recording tracks. Helping artist like Bouncy, a known artist in the dirty south, whom Mr. Drè is currently producing and managing his career. In 2002, Bouncy released his LP album "Steel-Toed Boots" which was released independently and sold throughout the south. Mr. Drè is currently working with Bouncy on his next LP Album, "Bigtyme Bouncy" which is coming out in Spring of 2004. Mr. Drè is currently negotiating more projects for the future, projects like soundtracks, music scores, video games and commercials are just some of the few things on his list. Video Production: As a youth, Mr. Drès uncles gave him an old camcorder. He started recording special events for friends and family. Then one day he was watching YO! MTV Rap and wanted to pursue a career in film. So he took the necessary classes to help him. He learned to take the subject, then build around the foundation. Mr. Drè said, "My job is to help your music video make sense to the audience, never over do it or half do it. I like to be on the same page with the artist." His first directing video was Bouncys "Bending Every Block", which was a low budget video that would be featured on Bigtyme Bouncy CD. He plans to work with other artist on their projects in directing a video for their promotion purpose. In 2004, Mr. Drè will start producing and hosting his on TV show, "My Block Video Show", that he is currently negotiating with local TV stations in Atlanta, Georgia. He is working hard on becoming a successful screenwriter and director in which he plans in the near future to produce screenplays, TV commercials and movies. Like Hype Williams and Dave Meyer got their own style of video, Mr. Drè want to create his own style. Being talented in every area of music and film industry has giving Mr. Drè the opportunity to showcase his talent to the world. Mr. Drè knows that you must love what you do before pursuing what you want in life. He plans to film a documentary and write a book about his life. Mr. Drè said, "Im willing to put all of my effort into every project I get my hands on. Things I learn in life: "Never give up, always stay humble and believe in yourself." Realizing that all of his talented gifts come from above, he plans to keep working hard everyday on the one thing that he loves, Entertainment.
