Late 70s through most of the the 80s I spent my years touring and serving as "Band Leader". Not to be confused with Manager or Musical Director. Band Leader in those days did all the grunt work that kept the wheels turning. Changing the oil in the bus, securing financing, dealing with booking agents, negotiating bar tabs, pampering singers, and (my favorite) herding cats - a.k.a. musicians. Not so glamorous. Waking everyone early one day for rehearsal a hung over band mate scowled "What do you think this is , The Jerry Davis Show?" These days? I'm old, grumpy, still hear voices, and "don't need no stinking band."
Welcome to my ego trip. Thanks for the listen.
