hello. we're called semble. we play lots of instruments (cello,violin,guitars,drums,zither,accordion, marimba,mbira,glockenspiel,flute,laptop etc) and sing songs. the music ranges from very fragile to aggressive grrr (now and then) and has influences from classical, electronica, folk and world mainly. I'ts quite earthy and leftfield. Semble are from Surbiton, England.

met 9 years ago. released three albums and an EP check our website www.semble.co.uk for more info gigged all over. originally had a drummer but he left.around about the same time Steve (singer/songwriter) developed really bad tenonitis, so we changed from big fat loud to very small quiet, which was very good for us musically. Now we are somewhere between the two and necessity being the mother of invention have had to fill the drummer "hole" with alternative sound making devices. yo

yes lot's. our favourite gigs are usualy at festivals - glastonbury, small world festival, big green gathering - beautiful atmospheres.
