Blue Birds Refuse to Fy is the personal project of Kyriakos Poursanides, keyboard player from the greek indie band Wasteland (1990-1998). Blue Birds Refuse to Fly's first album "Give me the wings" (Physis Records) was released in 1998. , with vocals and lyrics by Cristina Mihalitsi and George Priniotakis. the electronic and romantic atmospheres of the songs, in combination with the ethereal vocals attracted a lot of attention and the album being included in the 10 best albums of the year, according to the lists of most greek magazines. two of the album's tracks were included in cd compilations, one by voice magazine and one by Sony music ("Hymns" released all over Europe). their second album "Anapterùma" is already completed and expected to be released in late 2004 - early 2005 By Decadance Records. This time, the role of the basic singer is given to George Dedes, the leader of the Illusion Fades for more than ten years. The group is now moving towards electro with a more dance-oriented production.
