In the summer of 2004 Sito Oner Rock had the opportunity to create an urban Spanish/English mini music commercial for Toyota Scion. This was the kick off of his Latin Hip Hop career. Sito executed the project with a Spanish/English Hip Hop delivery. He co-produced the music and wrote the jingle. On the strength of his delivery the commercial spent a huge amount of time on National Television hitting Spanish stations as well as English stations leading the jingle to be played on radio spots on both Spanish and English radio stations all across United States.
One month after the commercial was released Sito Oner Rock began to record an all Spanish Hip Hop demo. Sito’s Toyota Scion performance and catchy sound attracted the A/R’s of Sony Discos granting a request for a Spanish Hip Hop demo. Before the Toyota Scion commercial and the Spanish Hip Hop demo, Sito independently recorded a full English Hip Hop album and had been selling the album entitled “Been There, Done That” as a member of Minority comprised of Sito Oner Rock, Angel, Spyder, & Just Phil. Minority has been on the grind since 1996 as an independent English Hip Hop group performing all across South Florida. With the attention of Sony Discos on Sito, he never skipped a beat and plugged in his boys and handed the Sony Discos A/R’s the Minority package. Before you knew it both Sito Oner Rock and Minority became label mates.
