Ang Rubberpool ay binubuhol nila:
Dennis Gabaya on guitars and vocals
Sidney luzentales on guitars
Kurt floresca on drums
Lui rodriguez on bass
Formed last January 2005, this gig-hungry band goes way back, some were former school buddies who assimilated their musical preferences during various jamming sessions until they decided to form Rubberpool. Rubberpool currently has three songs on record V Sara, I-Bol, and B-10, composed mainly by frontman, Dennis Gabaya. They kiddingly label their music as Kundiman Rock (Kung-hindi-man rock), sort of alternative music with pop tendencies.
Their strong point is in their lyrics. Their songs arent written in a poetic way and mostly using vernacular language but it really touches those sensitive chords, in a bitter-sweet manner. They speak of raw emotions that almost everyone can relate to. One of their songs, Sara, was played during 99.5 RTs Raw Tomatoes program, a show that presents new stuff from unsigned bands. Not bad for a newbie band who claims to have the Eraserheads and the Beatles as their foremost influence.
Being an apprentice band, they started doing gigs just last May, their first gig being in a town affair along with friends from Moonstar88, Soapdish, Gish, and Shimmer. It wasnt long before they start playing at interesting venues such as Saguijo, and UP, where they were part of the Youth Summit 05 lineup. In addition, they have been part of some of the scenes rising productions such as Revolver and No Front Act.
Armed with new songs and passionate hearts, this band aims to penetrate the music industry with catchy riffs, emotionally-charged songs, funny antics, and uhmK boyish charms. ļ
