Death Speaks

This band came about as a couple of us were in our college bus taking a break from getting ragged... we started talking and durin' the conversation, it came to be known that one person played the guitar while someone else played the drums and so on... We looked around for a few more characters. Some never turned up, and we wish some of the others hadnt... Finally, our line-up settled with Sam on the Guitars, Sidharth (Kurt) on the vocals, Nithyab on the guitars (currently on the Bass) and Raghu on the drums... Ashish joined us on the guitars and we've been having a ball playing around...
Band/artist history
Well. To pry it open, weve been around for a little less than a year. We bumped into each other in college and decided to jAM. Things sorta worked out and that is how it ALL started, but not before the band underwent a few transformations. At the moment, SPIT is a five-piece band with Sam and Ashish on the guitars, Bob aka Nityabh on the bass, Raghu belting the drums and Sidharth (Kurt) handling the vocals... The uniqueness of our band derives from the fact that each of us have contrasting musical influences ranging from Rocknroll to grunge to BLUES to funk, punk, alt metal, thrash, speed metal and death with a backdrop of classical music(both Indian and western). We kicked off at Strawberry Fields 2004(NLS) and after that we played as many shows as we could considering the time constraints stemming from the fact that we are all wannabe engineers. We do believe that the acoustic music scene in Bangalore is something that needs a boost and that is another area that we want to get into and promote. Our own compositions amalgamate different musical styles and that makes it difficult to classify them under any existing genre. If we would have it our way we would play only originals but sometimes it becomes necessary to play covers to connect with the audience.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
