We are a Death Metal style band from Hattersley, Hyde, Cheshire in Manchester, England, UK! The only was to describe us is "Satanic"!
Band/artist history
Corpse Remains: After a few attempts of making a band and geting extremely drunk, the council sent a letter to us requesting we stop making the extreme amount of noise we was. So then we moved on and both me (Andy) and Gazz decided to begin with a new style and attitude under the name "Pain", which later we decided sounded too cheesy. We then christened the band with the name "Lacerated" and wrote a few grindcore/death metal style songs. The main song we created being "Strain In My Eyes", which was burned onto 5 CDs and given to the band members and close friends. The CD is extremely rare and offers a whole new kind of style which we thought we would give a try. Not too longer after "Lacerated" was formed we managed to get ourselves a guitarist by the name of Allan, who despite being an excellent guitarist, couldn't really produce the style that we looking for. Due to a slight 'personal' issue, we decided that keeping the name "Lacerated" wasn't the best idea, so we mutilated into "Yautja" (which is "Predator" in the alien Predator's language), being a band that was making sounds as a tribute to the Predator movie. We produced a slightly amateur sounding demo titled "Ka'rik'na" which translated from the alien Predator's language, means "The Summoning". The demo contained 3 tracks, which were as follows: "Lacerated (If It Bleeds... We Can Kill It!)", "Battle Wounds" and a remastered version of "Strain In My Eyes" which contained the quote "Fuck You... Lacerated!" aimed towards the former band member. There was only ever 2 copies of this demo, which only Gazz and myself have. We later decided that we needed to find a much more appropriate name for a serious band name, so we thought up "The 13th Hour", but then decided that we would think of something more original, so we wrote down many words that sounded amazing, and we came to the final name of "Corpse Remains". From this point on we started to think about the future of the band and started to write many songs and tabs, which some we still have. We started fresh and went back to see if any previous songs could do us justice with the new style. We are currently struggling but not giving up by using the resources which we have. I am sure that this section will grow huge as we produce some metal riffs and torture our voice box with lyrics! Andy (Vocals, Sound Editing): With studio and editing skills, Andy can provide Corpse Remains with the right sound they need when recording. Whilst still mastering the guitar, his appearence and flair make him the perfect vocalist for the band. Once the metal starts he almost transforms, with aggression and attitude into the demonic vocalist that Corpse Remains require. Co-Founder of the band, and also the man behind the bands name. His main music influences are bands such as Lamb of God, Machine Head, Kataklysm, Cannibal Corpse, Visitor and Iron Maiden. Gazz (Guitar, Backing Vocals): Having his views and attitude set firm and unchanged since the start, Gazz has helped to create a no-gimic, tru-metal band. Believing that guitar lessons isn't the way, he self-tought all the way from day one. Heavy and even heavier only applies to Gazz. Gazz is also the Co-Founder of the band and has been dedicated since day one! His main influences are bands such as the legendary Iron Maiden, Pig Destroyer, Kataklysm, Cannibal Corpse, Lamb Of God and Visitor!
