Hey guys, we're a screamo band based out of Fairborn, Ohio and we're currently in the process of recording our first demo. It should be killer so check us out!
Fake The Smile is a band out of Fairborn Ohio formed in the winter months of 05. Two of the members Andy(drums) and Curtis(vocals) were previously in a band called My New Favorite Past Time that had broken up because members were leaving for college. A year after the split Shawn(guitar) and Jung(guitar) started writting songs and hoping to soon get a band together. When we got word that Curtis was coming home from college for good we pounced on him. Anxious to get back to making music Curtis joined us in the writting process. Along with Curtis came Andy and there was our band. Three guitarist/vocalists and one drummer. After a few jam sessions and practices we came to our senses and realized that 3 guitars is alot of guitar. From there we decided to move to the classic 5 man line up. We picked up a friend of ours Josh who had played bass with a couple of us a couple times and kicked Curtis off guitar (poor guy) and made him the front man and voice of the band.....As far as the music goes, The guitars have a harder edge to them something along the lines of Senses Fail, Matchbook Romances or Underoath in other words its music to mosh to.But dont worry ladies we are here for you too and thats where Curtis comes in handy. With poppy vocals similar to those of Fallout Boy, Rufio or New Found Glory you will be able to sing your heart out along with Curtis.
