Cait Gallo is a lyrical powerhouse of emotion.
Band/artist history
Growing up in the Gallo family paved the way for Cait’s EP CD Short Stories. Originally from Southern California, Cait realized that her personal experiences could be expressed lyrically, as a therapy for dealing with family life. Short Stories embarks on a journey through the eyes of a little girl to those of a woman, conquering battles while letting ocean waves of emotion out. Growing up with the influences of Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Liz Phair, Ani Difranco, and Sarah McLaughlin, Cait makes her own blend of music that suites her subjects and vocal range. “I am glad to finally get some of these songs out of my head and recorded. I figure if they are out of me, physically and mentally, I can put some issues to rest. My rule of thumb is that when a song is over I won’t allow myself to think about it anymore. It is my way of dealing and moving on.” And moving on is exactly what she is doing. With fans reaching Colorado, California, and now Washington State, she is making her mark on the independent artist scene. Currently she is in the studio finishing up Short Stories which has the current release date of Summer 2005. Be sure to check at CaitGallo.com for future updates on Cait Gallo and Short Stories.
