Basically, what my "band" is as of now is a one-man "indie" (what a deplorable term) folk unit. I'll probably add a drummer at some point, along with a bassist, keyboardist and possibly another guitarist. I've recorded an album's worth of material that encompasses eight originals and a few covers, all done in the high tech heaven that is my school's television studio.
I started getting serious about making music (rather, stopped sucking completely) about a half year ago. I'm going to go record an album with decent production quality in the near future, probably doing most of the instruments besides drums.
I try to play live, but I'm a bit more absorbed with film making. It's fun when the crowd is into it, I think I'll work on a rendition of Freebird based solely off the lyrics, having never actually heard the song.
Paul Westerberg is my hero and he should be Minnesota's favorite son if he isn't already. People say I sound like the Mountain Goats, but I feel song writing-wise, I have a lot in common with, in addition the the Mountain Goats and Westerberg, the Pixies, not so much sound-wise, but the structure of the songs.
A Rickenbacker 330, Fender Stratocaster '62 reissue, Line 6 Flextone III (I really need to get rid of this thing), POD XT Live
