The Genocide aslo known as Geno, was born in Bogotá, Colombia. In the very the heart of a civil war within social political movements and narco political drug lords. Around the same time Pablo Escobar was running the Colombian cartels for Ochoa, he was raised in Suacha (southern barrio of Bogotá, Colombia) by Social Activist parents who at the time were considered 'Leftist Guerrillas' also known as mayor public enemies. He grew up and was raised in revolutionary ways, his living, his visions, his thoughts, his music reflects all that still goes on today.
*(Over the past half-century, Colombia has been plagued by violence, Its people caught in the middle of a civil conflict raging between the army, leftist guerrillas, right-wing paramilitaries, narco-traffickers, U.S. anti-drug D.E.A & C.I.A Secret services. Even though rarely in the headlines, Colombia is not only by far the largest recipient of U.S. military aid in the Western Hemisphere, it is also considered being one of the worst human rights catastrophe following the terrorism and gangsterism related to its well known reputation as the world's largest provider of Cocaine.)
Jose Francisco Rodriguez Niño, The only son of a Guerrilla Family, was at a young age rescued by Amnesty International. He was then granted political asylum in Canada with an altered family name for political security and was exiled from Colombia for an undetermined period at that time.
Today, He's begun his revolution and has gone way beyond the dream of a 6 year old Colombian born boy raised in a war he'd always thought he'd die in. He uses his music, his living, his art to share and express his overthrown political mind state with a disturbing BOOMING sense of mainstream musical orientation.
Geno, Producer / Writter / Performer and Activist is today 25 years old and has been from square one politically involved in the situation of the war in Colombia. He has incorporated his musical side to spread the word "Genocide", his street name and adjective for the way he rips up beats and emcees. but also a word he feels people only implement to Jewish, African, and western european incidents, even though the biggest Genocide known to mankind was done to his native amerindian ancestors when the spaniards came to rape South America. A word he judges as being "The cure for opinion", a war crime fed by old habbits which sadly still goes on today all around the world, from Europe to the Middle east, South America and all across Africa. Silently thousands of minds are left unspoken for, whipped out to follow a corporate purpose, "Genocide for Profit" an act of war for total dominion on our natural resources and global monopoly(unexageratedly expressed). This is his way to create awareness on the current situations of our underground worlds and to give a voice to those who never got a chance to speak.
* Along side of 'Anonymo' they from "The Anonymous Genocide" a latin american duo right under the Ghetto Youth roster (which by the way Anonymo is currently serving an 8 years sentence in a Federal Jail in Panama, but is to be extradited back to Canada within the next weeks). The Duo having its musical taste deeply rooted in salsa, hip hop & poetry reflects their great influences from thinkers, musicians and artists such as Simon Bolivar, Cheo Feliciano, Ernesto Che Guevara, Hector Lavoe, Pablo Neruda, Tupac Amaru (The last indigenous leader and the rapper), Martin Luther King Jr , Garcia Marquez, Silvio Rodriguez and many many more.
