It's Been A While
An anthem for all of us married couples who don't get enough "quality" time! Originally titled, "Champagne & Flowers", a friend suggested the current title (a better one in my opinion).

The Reason for Your Smile
Extremely rough demo that I've had lying around for a while that I just never go to finish/perfect, so I thought I'd post. It's about Finding love when and where you don't expect it

Remembrance
Wrote this song sometime in late 2004 in thinking about the war in Iraq, this song is for those who hurt at home.

Finding A Way
Nice pop-rock song. THe first song I ever wrote and recorded, so it has a special place in my heart.

Throwing Stones
A great song written by a friend of mine in the UK (who should be touring and have a recording contract!!)
Show all (17)
46 year-old wanna-be singer-songwriter (guitar - about 9 years, singing and songwriting, about 7 years).
Band/artist history
History? Let's see - yeah, um, "Blue Sky was formed nearly six years ago with the purchase of a Taylor guitar (Feb. 2002). Been learning since and having quite a good time.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I try to play live once in a while (i.e. open mics - mostly in Greenwich Village in NYC); but its hard given other great things in life (the family) and not-so-great, necessary things in life (job).
Your musical influences
Everything from classical, to easy listening, to metal, 70's-90's hardrock, pop, blues, and country.
What equipment do you use?
Taylor T5 Standard, Taylor 314ces Ltd. Koa acoustic, Gibson LP studio electric, Aria AS100S, Fender Jazz Bass, Octava mics, Presonus preamps, Yamaha Aw16G recorder/mixer.
Anything else?
Wish I could make a living at music.

Just surfin' around and stumbled on "Reason For Your Smile." Love that guitar! You are also more than a "would be" songwriter. You've got some nice tunes.

Hey, I've been really busy in the studio working on my songs. The first five tunes listed on my site are all new...(or new versions). If you get a minute, please check them out. I very much appreciate feedback...(good and bad).
Hope 2006 is going well for you...
Stay inspired,
Brian
