Spike are a four piece indie/rock band from Norwich. Steve Killingback - guitar/vocals, Dave Richardson - bass, Graham Roe - drums, Joe Norton - guitar
Steve and Dave, former members of the recently disbanded Pedigree, agree to form another band. A few informal jams follow at Steve's house, one involving Simon Pritchard, an old school friend of Steve's.
The first official practice takes place at Plug Studios. The first line-up is Steve on guitar, Dave on bass, Simon on vocals and Linda on drums. Also present that night was Steve and Simon's friend, Graham, on guitar, but this was his only appearance. Weekly rehearsals commence.
Linda leaves the band. Rehearsals continue without a drummer but with a lack of material and personnel, progress grinds to a halt.
Graham joins as our new drummer. We start a ten month search for a band name we all like.

The remaining members of Spike decide to add a second guitarist to beef up the sound.
Mark joins as lead guitarist and backing vocalist. Only a few songs from the old set are retained.
We record our first demo at Plug Studios. The tracks are, Take Control, Culture Wars and Burn Away.

Mark moves to Glasgow, meaning he has to leave the band.
Finally recruited a replacement guitarist, Joe Norton, formerly with The New Reversal.
Playing live is the whole reason for being in as band. Were currently playing whatever gigs we can in the Norwich area.
