What is a stem / trackout file?
A Stem file is an audio file that contains a track split into several musical elements: A drums stem, a bassline stem, a harmony stem, and a lead stem for example.

Why would I need a stem / trackout file?
A trackout file gives you much better control. Imagine you rap over a beat and you realize the percussions take the focus away from your vocals. With a trackout file
you can simply tone down the percussion and the focus is now on the vocals. With a trackout file you have much more flexibility and a whole different level of control.
Hi David Pendragon here, I have been a musician, recording engineer and producer for nearly 30 yrs. In that time my music has covered a lot of ground, I started with an acoustic guitar playing Crosby Stills, Jethro Tull kinda stuff and some of those influences continue in my present work. I have played all kinds of stuff from orchestral arrangements to metal, techno, almost anything except brass band!! Currently my music is incorporating all of my different tastes, having a high quality studio at home is fantastic!!
Please help keep our music happening, if each person paid for ONE download of our albums or songs, I would be able to spend much more time in the studio creating new pieces, PLEASE help that happen.

Much of my work is created and performed with the band 'Tribe' [ALSO KNOWN AS "TRIBE PENDRAGON"] This is an ever expanding group of musos from all over the planet If we need a certain instrument, we find the player, who then becomes a member of the 'Tribe' . Founding members of Tribe Pendragon are Bill Hall and David Pendragon, Tracy Lundgren Natalia Christiana Ben Mansfield Ernie Van Veen and a large and varied group of other talented players.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, on the right occasions a festivals, folk rock clubs. I do like playing live when the P.A, Sound man and promoter know what they are doing!!

What equipment do you use?
Most of the music you will hear is all acoustic instruments and recorded 'live' in my studio. I like a 'real' sound.
Anything else?
I run a Protools Digi 002 studio with great mics and lots of expensive soft ware, I would prefer a really good 2 inch tape machine, so if there are any patrons of the arts out there, CALL ME!!
