Wish Of The Day: Brit Rock band based in the suberbs of Wolverhampton (England). Formed in May 2005. BBC School of rock 2006 winners
Wish Of The Day, well what can I say?
Wish of the Day are an exciting new four piece band to come from the depths of Telford in the heart of the Midlands.
WotD only formed back at the beginning of 2005 but have already trodden the boards at well respected venues across the Black County.
Travelling around the country playing at venues such as the Jailhouse, Coventry to the Stourbridge Rock Café, Cavern, Liverpool and carling academy's in both manchester and birmingham to name a few.
W.O.T.D have created a stir around their home area. With nearly 20 years of combined experience in playing their chosen instruments this Indie band plays with the energy to take them places fast.
The punchy melodic riffs and emotional lyrics lend themselves perfectly to this band and whilst being powerful words they are also somewhat catchy,
creating a familiar sound to the band which harps back to their main influences, Razorlite, Oasis and the Kaizer Chiefs.
Forgot to mention, the most outstanding thing about this band is theyve done all the above and have plans for so much more and their average age is still only 15.
Amazed as I am?

Wish Of The Day : Band Biography
Wish Of The Day are an Emo Indie from the suburbs of Wolverhampton playing punchy
melodicriffs with emotional cathy lyrics.
They started out at about March, 2005 with the line up of . . .
Dan Richards (Lead Guitar + Lead Vocals), Adam Massey (Bass Guitar) & Jack Brodie
(Drums + Percussion). Wish Of The Day had there debute gig set at The Haygate,
On the 6th May 2005. A week before the debut Adam did'nt feel that the band life
was for him so he dropped out, this was a huge set back for the band and re-booking
the debut went through Dan & Jacks head a few times. The race was on to find a bass player
in a couple of days and to learn a 30 minute set in time! This was a big job!
Rob Knight was approched by Jack within a few days for the 6th and was asked if he would
like to join the band, luckely he said yes!
The band were practically practising 24/7 to get the set tight and full of confidence!
The gig went great appart from one hick-up where Jack put the bass drum through in the
middle of the 3rd number "Hold On"!
Wish Of The Day hitting the UK in lots of places and venues just to spread the word.
