Tracy's Point first came together in Ottawa in 2002 as a six-piece band playing private parties. Pyor & Razz (our lead singer and lead guitarist respectively), soon began to dabble in the art of song-writing, recording a collection of original songs for our first album: The Sun Reappeared. There are thirteen tracks on this disc, plenty of material for you to get to know us a little better!
Featuring an awesome lead singer, a commanding guitar presence (three guitars!!) and a kick-ass rhythm section, Tracy's Point puts out a very powerful sound!
Following a few cast changes in 2005, Tracy's Point brought things up a notch and started playing small local venues. March 2006 saw the official launch of our website.
Band/artist history
Our debut public performance was in October 2005 when we rocked the house for a Halloween Bash at the Cumberland Arms' Pub in Orleans. Tracy's Point was very well received and the evening was a tremendous success. Even the pub's management got in on the dancing action!
Fresh off this successful launch, we were eager to keep up the momentum. Unfortunately, Tracy's Point suffered a 'Spinal Tap' moment when our drummer at the time (why is it always drummers?!) left the band to focus on his university studies.
However, as the saying goes: 'When one door closes another opens'. So, with a new master behind the kit, Tracy's Point is ready to go and is looking forward to future engagements!
