In truth, I am looking for sounds that are very hard to find. Sounds that invoke emotions we don't often feel. Those are the best songs. The ones that do that. The best way to describe the sound of Meadow would be happy, but sad.
I am a one man band. I create through a program called FL Studio. I do not use any loops however. I build from scratch. I also mix the tracks once they are complete in various other 3rd party programs.
I first started creating music when I was 12 years old. A friend had introduced me to FL Studio, and I used it often to create my own techno. Eventually around 18 I met up with a guitarist and bassist at a party, and we started jamming often.
The guitarist and I formed a two man band (Carbon Avatar) and began working on an EP. For personal reasons we went our separate ways, but some of the tracks we created are still available for listening on the Meadow's page. (Welcome to the Init, Dimming Hearts Ballad, 758, Comedown)
From 20 to 23 I spent a lot of time jamming with random friends at parties and get togethers, doing a lot of singing. During that time I met a musician who was a one man behind a band titled "Lucid Delusion." Jake, the man behind LD inspired me to pick up again on my old abilities, and Carbon Avatar was resurrected. Jake and I worked tirelessly on tracks day and night for months, often working together on tracks, and remixing each other's works.
Eventually Jake and I drifted apart, LD went it's own way, and I continued work on CA.
For a gap of about one year Carbon Avatar fell to the wayside due to personal issues in my life.
After sitting down and planning out an entirely new project, Carbon Avatar became the Mystic Meadow State.
