subduction current formed in 2004 with the late Phil Ogison; guitars, synths, drum programming, arranging, engineering. (the devil in the design, psychosomatic climax machine, a pretty sonic splatter, the league of imaginations, subductionCurrent. previously in various bands and projects since 1966, notably oberon, eggplant, the entrance system, david greene band, this pure desire, making big pictures, mn8, spacenomad and the pyx and Catherine Tammaro multidisciplinary artist and musician.... synths, vocals, composition and various instruments, collaborations with: steal this book, tom third, dr.limbo as well as work with Phil Ogison on conspire, after duchamp, north, ghosts and many others. The project then became Catherine's alone and has continued to this day. Sadly Phil left this world in late 2018. He is lovingly remembered in every way. we have had three live concerts to date the most recent, hacienda club; sweetheart sessions. feb 14 2006 feedback monitor.c.i.u.t june 2005 the Cabbagepatch, september 2004 The first Nuit Blanche at the Textile Museum in Toronto and many collaborative works.

phil ogison: syd barrett, robert wyatt, gong, hawkwind, steve hillage, soft machine, king crimson, brian eno, pressurehead, einsturzende neubauten, new order, the cure, siouxsie and the banshees, the cocteau twins. catherine tammaro: the ocean, eastern music of all types, japanese film, the surrealist movement, other experimental art, dada, design, traditional orchestral music, Phil ogison, yoko, kate, bjork, the little sea maid and allowing my own musical deep dives to bring up musical treasures from beneath the waves.
What equipment do you use?
in the studio we use an mk-4901 midi controller with a p4 1.5 pc, running various virtual synths and sequencing software plus a yamaha dx200 desktop control synth, m audio delta 44, 24 bit asio soundcard and behringer ub1832fx-pro mixing console. 1984 ibanez roadstar guitar, 2005 ibanez icx120 guitar, roland dd20 giga delay, roland cube 60 guitar amp. Catherine also uses the MAudio interface with various synths and samples as well as voice and Garage Band or PreSonus and whatever else she feels like!
