Blues Rock

Gary Faria was born and raised in Rhode Island. Gary picked up his first guitar at the age of 8. His first band was at the age of 13, rocking dances in his town in the local church basement. Gary has performed with many bands in the New England area. Gary has opened for such performers as Peter Wolf, Young Neil and the Vipers, Might Mighty Bosstones, The Royal Crowns, The Backstreet Boys, and John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Gary mainly performs in the studio and acoustically in Rhode Island and the surrounding areas. In my own words..This CD is just a bunch of songs that have been recorded over the years. Every song has a story behind it. Every song was one that I could not let go of. Some of the recordings are pretty crude and were done in my house. Some were recorded at Danger Multi-track in Providence, and the acoustic songs were done ‘off the cuff’ at a friend’s house, on his computer. I hope you can relate to the songs and maybe understand why I had to write them. Thanks for listening, Gary Faria
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I usually play live in Newport RI during the summer months. In the off season, it's usually around the town here in Rhode Island.
Your musical influences
My influences come from a lot of music. The only music I had as a child were old 50's and 60's albums from my aunt. I grew up on Elvis, Beatles, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran....I didn't understand who Zeppelin was until I got into high school, and they had already broke up. I 'm a big Stevie Ray fan and always will be.
