We are a band called Jade, and we play a mixture of post-grunge/post-rock and metal.
Our sound is hard to catagorise, mainly because we are undecisive and have too many influences. and how!
We hope to stimulate.
Barrie and Fraser started the band EONS ago, when dinosaurs were still thriving and it was 50p a pint. It was initially a joke punk band.
Then fraser left, barrie got our mate danny to stand in for a while then he met me. although danny was good, i prefered fraser for his influences.
We flaunted our colliding styles with raised eyebrows across a rehearsal room and got to work. Meanwhile David was living a happy life. We met him on a drunken night out, tried to start a fight but were met with the words "you wouldn't punch a drummer would you"* and JADE was reborn
We play all over glasgow, and are hoping to play a tour of scotland and england with a few bands we know (AMONGST THE ARROWS, MY VELOURIA, CAYTO (hopefully)
We play a mix of post-grunge/post-rock/metal but its a good mix of the following (we do try)...
Biffy Clyro, Aereogramme, Explosions
In The Sky, Tool, DJ Shadow, Interpol, Oceansize, Four Tet, Pelican, Kyuss
lots and lots of crap pedals and stuff. get back to basics. Fisher Price do a great line in guitars
Sign us for hope of love and money, but most of all the ability to play music we love and release it without obligations
