Band/artist history
Candice and Nadinne identical twin duo from South Australia, originally hailing from Victoria. Music has always been the girls main interest, from early on. They started singing at a very early age. By the age of 8, Candice and Nadinne had pretty well decided upon the direction their life would take, and that direction has been Entertaining everyone they can, anywhere! Candice and Nadinne were involved in the school choirs from Primary School through High School. They were composing songs by age 12 and performing as a duet. At sixteen they were performing throughout the various venues in Adelaide. At 17, Candice and Nadinne were performing in Country South Australia, Victoria and NSW. The girls have been compared to The Judds with their powerful voices and sweet, pure harmonies. candice and Nadinne have a magical quality to their Performing Personae, a special something that sets them apart and leads them on the road to becoming the "next big thing" with their fresh, polished, professional performances! In todays highly competitive country music industry, there is no room for half hearted attempts or glory seeking, and these seasoned professionals know it! They are ALL about giving 100% of themselves in front of an audience and in the recording studio! The girls are a special Artistic Duo on their way to taking the Country Music Industry by storm! More than pretty faces with angelic voices, Candice and Nadinne also compose their own songs. Promises To Keep from their Debut Album "Just Another Day" is another fine example of these girl's talents. Some of their accomplishments to date include Winning various Talent Quests and Songwriting Awards throughout Australia. Some of their achievements include making it to the top 5 for Tasmania ( Australia) and New Zealand Independent Artists Album Award for 2004. As well as in the Top 5 for the Country Section of the Australian Independent Artists Music Oz awards 2003,one of Australia's most prestigious awards for Independent Artists! "Just Another Day" is DoubleVision's Debut Album, with four of the songs co-written by the girls and some very special songwriters from overseas. The remainder of the tracks were written specially for Candice and Nadinne by some "very wonderful songwriters from the USA and Canada". The album was a year in the making, with the music tracks actually recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Candice and Nadinne are not your typical "Aussie" style of Country Music. Their talents, voices and performances have been compared to the Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt Trio, with their beautiful voices and incredible harmonies! More than "just country", they can accommodate the traditional style of Country Music and belt out an upbeat Country Rock tune when the urge strikes them. The girls fun-loving personality, talent, and gifted harmonies have entertained crowds everywhere they go and have created a loyal fan base that follows them anywhere they perform. With the drive to make it and the ability to stay the course for the long haul, there is no doubt this dynamite duet will go a long way in the Country Music Industry.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We LOVE to perform live! The energy created during a concert is a very tangible thing that just keeps growing with the audience response and our own creative juices during the performance!
Your musical influences
International Female Artists Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks, The Judds and International male artists Lonestar,Tim McGraw Brad Paisley. Kasey Chambers, Beccy Cole, Tanya Kernaghan, Lea Kernaghan Carter and Carter Adam Harvey and many many more! I think we would have to say that Graeme Connors would be our most inspirational Aussie writer and singer even though we write worlds apart he writes more about our country than the emotional stuff. Though his present album touches that side of him a lot.:)We would love to write with him one day:)
